Hello lovely folks of the Couchsurfing community!

I am an Indian expat, now living in the beautiful and quiet city of Eindhoven, Netherlands. I came here for work, and has been love with the city ever since. I live here with my lovely wife, who is also from India.

We recently bought a house in this city, and a room has been lying idle, yet furnished - which is why we thought of playing hosts !

We are new to this community, but we really enjoy travelling and also meeting and talking to people from diverse cultures. We have travelled together to over 15 countries, and we are eager to travel more.

Our home is very close to the Eindhoven airport, so that's a plus point to whoever is looking for some time to rest before catching their early morning flight.

** HOUSE RULES **

1. No smoking or use of drugs inside the house.
2. You can use the kitchen and use some of our ingredients, but we won't be able to cook for you specifically. Of course, we could cook together if time permits.
3. Please keep the home and bathroom tidy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Our goal as hosts is to understand and offer help to people - we believe in paying forward.

I believe that everyone can teach you something new and interesting. Remember "what is obvious to you is amazing to others". So, we are always looking to hear about your interesting stories and experiences. I think this makes us a better human being.

Also, to be honest - an expat's life is almost always lonely - we are away from family and friends. And my wife and I would really love some company.

Our only requirement - don't forget your sense of humour at home ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

As an Indian, my exposure to music is limited to Indian music, though I listen to English songs as well

Indian artists I like are - AR Rahman (the GOAT), Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Sonu Nigam

I am a huge movie buff - My favourite movies are:

- The Shawshank Redemption
- Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (Tamil)
- Bangalore Days (Malayalam)
- Kumbalangi Nights (Malayalam)
- Thallumala (Malayalam)

FYI - Malayalam movie industry consistently produces some of the best movies that come out of India. Give it a try ;)

Books - anything in the thriller/mystery genre. Two of my favourite books are Not a penny more, not a penny less and Going Zero.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1 - attended a Coldplay concert - it was one of the loveliest, most amazing shows I've been to.

2 - Went from being a couch potato to a 5k runner - it took a lot of patience and training :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been an engineer all my life, so the best support I can provide is tech support :D

Jokes apart, I can join you in conversations about probably any topic under the sun. I love discussing anything related to tech, philosophy, the meaning of life, our purpose in this world and such :)

I'm also told that I'm a good photographer, and I'm happy to take pictures for you.
