About Me

Working as a child doc in my home town. Was born in Pocatello, not in a trunk in front of the Princess Theater, now known as the Whitman Hotel. I did enjoy a drink there when it was still possible though. (the drink, not being conceived)
I have traveled through South America, parts of Central America, parts of Africa, India, Eastern Europe, and through all Canadian provinces, as well as all of the 50 US States.
I live on a ski hill that boasts amazing terrain to ski, and also close to world famous hot springs, as well as opportunities to fly fish for world class trout on a Native American Reservation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through all my travels and travails, I was shown hospitality that I will never be able to repay. People were beyond kind and caring and helped me traverse the local terrain with minimal injuries and hardships.

If there is anything I can to do help other travelers, especially those on a shoe string, be able to see parts of the world they may never be a ble to see otherwise... then by all means I would like to do what I can.
Especially if one of them knows how to play the chicken goggles game I learned to play in Egor Hungary with friends from The Backpackers Hostel on the Pest side.

Interests

Unfortunately, my main interest is working. since I am no longer afforded the adventures once treasured, I hope to provide some hospitality to others who are lucky enough to be exploring this part of their life!

I enjoy downhill skiing, flyfishing, playing saxophone, hiking, and enjoying single malts from the Isleys.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy? Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, and any books swapped along the lonely trails. Traded hundreds of books with other travelers and loved them all. well, almost all. there was some real shite as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

rubbed my belly with my left hand in clockwise fashion, while simultaneously rubbing the top of my head in counterclockwise fashion with my right hand. It's not that I was chewing gum at the same time, that is impressive. Rather the fact that I shaved two capybara with a piece of broken glass with my left foot while manually extricating panda juice with my left foot for continuation of their species. You're welcome.

Teach, Learn, Share

See one, do one, teach one. Yeah, I know this one all too well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Access to a wonderful ski hill. Pebble Creek, great skiing. if El Nino lives up to the hype.
also have wonderful Lava Hot Springs to soak in.
of course, some amazing chances for star gazing, building a wonderful bonfire. sharing time with pygmy goats, and miniature donkeys.
Guaranteed to be an interesting time.

I have 3 bedrooms and two baths upstairs for guests. lots of privacy. also an apartment in the barn should you require even more privacy. Just don't do anything in front of the donkeys, I don't think they know how to keep a secret. And under no circumstances is anyone allowed to molest the critters. That's a big no, no. Otherwise, Cheers!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Kenya, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Uruguay
