Overview
About Me
I'm a french-speaking Québécois (je sais que j'écris tout en anglais dans mes textes, mais c'est pour attirer tout plein de voyageurs! :P ) who lives in an apartment in Joliette. I've got a beer store of mine with a business partner, I do improv on a regular basis in fall and winter and go see some too. I drink lots of craft beer, but it comes with my line of work. I say drink, but I should almost say taste, as I do not drink the same thing over and over!
There's quite a lot about me (as about others, I'm sure of it), that I'll leave it like this for now! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to open back an account for myself since, in the past, I traveled in France and used Couchsurfing to meet great people that inhabited the places we went to. It has always been such a wonderful experience and 2-3 times after that, we've let people come to our place (me and my ex-girlfriend). It makes for great stories and I've always been keen on seeing some small part of a country from the eyes of the locals (for all the little wonders that aren't mentioned anywhere in a travel guide)!
Why am I on Couchsurfing? To give back what I could enjoy back then!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music : I love a specific band called « Les Cowboys Fringants ». I enjoy traditional folk music (and even play some weird « musical » instrument). I'm always open to hear any kind of music, but I mostly prefer catchy songs, kitsch songs and even surprised myself to listen to some electronic music (like Kavinsky!).
Movies : I enjoy the whole MCU (even though, I did not yet watch all of it). In my youth, I was quite the mighty fan of the Lord of the Rings (having watched the « Making of » too many times... '^_^). The movie I watched the most was probably the « 3 ninjas » (haha!). I'm not the biggest movie-goer, but I always enjoy watching a movie, wether it is good, good-ish, or even not that good (since I'll laugh about it after!).
Books : I read in my youth all the Harry Potter books (watched the movies too). I'm currently struggling to find time to finish the fifth book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series (Dance of Dragons (I'm also up-to-date with the Game of Thrones TV series)). I love a particular author from Québec : Patrick Sénécal. Great horror/suspense books. I've read the Lord of the Rings books but really struggled with all those descriptions of all the places they were going (gosh... that travel section with Frodo, Sam and Gollum! It was killing me!). I like books with some mysterious intrigue behind all of it, without going too much in the fantastical display.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmmh... It makes me ponder about it. A 6-months travel in Europe? Maybe. Opening up a beer store in the city I'm currently living in? Probably too.
I feel like I'm doing so much stuff lately that do not feel that amazing to others, but they keep me occupied so much that it is quite amazing that I'm doing so many things! Haha!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've always believed that the most unusual path we take for our lives gives us the most in the end. I have issues in believing in the perfect layout where : you go to school, attend university, get a diploma, get a job, get a house, get kids, etc.
I want some of those last things, but you learn so much more by going to other places and by being open-minded to the whole world. This kind of experience is so unique that it gives true colors to people, not bland colors. By the end of my college, I went overseas to Europe and this was so enlightening to see other customs and other people living in their own way and expressing themselves as well as they could.
You come back of such trips with much more color than before (well, I think it has for me).
To do so, you need to share your experiences and, in that way, you can teach and learn on both sides!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Clearly, a couch! Haha! More seriously, a good craft beer will always be on the line for any traveler. Traveling stories are always fun. I can cook some bread to share. Haha! I think I can give quite a visit that can be remembered and that can be unique in one way or another (depending on the days people visit, of course!).
