Overview
About Me
Hello, I'm Marco!
I'm a shipping manager in a leather and fashion factory and, in the meantime, a psychology student at the Florence University.
I have two sons (at their teen age). I play guitar (and a bunch of other instruments) and I play in a couple of bands, but I really like to jam with anyone!
I'm a really open minded guy and, despite being A LOT introvert, I like to know people and know their point of view on "things". I'm mainly interested in arts, philosophy, psychology, music, movies and literature and essays.
I hate sports :)
***IMPORTANT INFO*** I don't live in Florence. Fucecchio (where I live) is a small town between Florence and Pisa and it is about 35km distant from both of them. It's really well connected with trains (you can travel to Florence or Pisa in about 35/40 mins and there is a train about every half an hour), but it's not the city.
There are many nice things to see in the nearbies, but it's not the right choice if you want to "live the city". But I have no problem to take you siteseeing to one of the cities you want to visit if I have free time (but if I host you I usually do).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been registered to Couchsurfing for about 3 years now, but I really started to host people last summer. I've definitely more hosted people than being hosted. And it's been a nice experience.
I found that if you wanna know cultures, if you really want to see and know places you must live with people. I'm not interested in "tourism", I prefer to be part of the place I'm visiting (even if for one evening!).

Music, Movies, and Books
I love hard rock, heavy metal, post punk and new wave, as well as acoustic and electronic music.
I read a lot of different things: mainly novels and essays on psychology, philosphy and literature.
I love horror movies (the old, cheap and cheesy ones), 80's classic movies and comedy
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d like to know how you all see the world and life experiences. I love to hear the different points of view and to think that, after every discussion, I know a little more about life. I can teach you how to play guitar or ukulele, how to cook some of my national dishes and be the most friendly I can be!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice bed, a warm hospitality, nice conversation and a tarot spread ;)
Countries I’ve Visited
