About Me
After this trip to Hawaii in March, I'll have been to all 50 states (mostly from one of my seven cross country roadtrips). My goal was All 50 by 50, I'm ahead of schedule!
I'm open to just about any experience. If you think it's fun, I'll try it. I love quirky, history, culture, adventure, local spots, nature (anything outdoors). I take my camera everywhere, so I've always got something to do.
I volunteer a lot. I just got back from my ninth year at Sundance Film Festival, where I manage the "premiers" theater. I mentor chronically ill kids, teaching them yoga, cooking, photography, and one kid we just made a ton of slime for weeks on end. I plan events that fundraise, educate, and build community. I'm a caregiver for my 82 year old friend. We play cards every Sunday. I'll lend a hand any where anyone needs me pretty much.
I listen to a ton of podcasts. I could spend all day, every day doing that.
Anything outdoors, I'm up for. I'd live outside if it was feasible.
Anyway, enough about me. I want to know about you. What's your story?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
An Irish friend told me about it soon before I was to leave for a big road trip and I gave it a try. It's, literally, the best thing that has happened to me in the last 10 years. Sounds lofty, but it restored my faith in human beings. There are so many good people out there, couchsurfing helps me find them.
