About Me

¡Hola! Soy Margarita. I'm a photographer from Guadalajara, México. Exploring sets my soul on fire. I love to be in the nature, wander around with my camera in hand, spending time with friends, driving at sunset, experimenting in the kitchen, meeting new people, visiting galleries and theaters. Big fan of picnics and camping. I like to constantly learn from others around me, specially travelers.

I would describe myself as a curious spirit. If we cross paths, I would like to listen to your thoughts about the world, your life, your wishes. How you see things and how you would like them to be, and how we go about doing it. Your guiding thoughts and favorite sayings.

“Caminante no hay camino, se hace camino al andar.” - Joan Manuel Serrat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In a short time, Couchsurfing has changed my perspective on how I can immerse myself in a culture. I think meeting a person from the country itself where you're traveling to is the best way to get a shot at other ways of living. Also, making friends from around the world makes me very happy.

"The secret is to never lose sight of the simple, everyday miracles in life. Good food, literature, laughter, music, compelling conversation, nature and art. Look for them in every day, and even when it feels your whole world is unravelling, you will never be too far from a needle and thread." - Beau Taplin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Skydiving at sunrise in Hawaii (+ seeing whales from above).
- Spending the night by myself in the cold Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia to photograph the milky way. (Absolutely worth it)
