About Me
ABOUT ME
After six years working in Washington, D.C. I am taking a year off to explore passions and interests I always tabled while working full time. So far I've participated in meditation and spiritual retreats, volunteered for nonprofits working to end youth homelessness and empower young students through the ARTS, signed up for as many opportunities to practice dance and acting as I could, and said yes to a number of other adventures. These experiences have taken me all over the United States and Mexico so far. I'm still traveling, going with the flow to my next destination.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I joined CS, I was studying in Spain and had a lot of opportunity to travel. With CS I was able to meet great people who were generous enough to share their piece of the city with me. Without a solid home base this year, I can't host unfortunately. But as I travel I hope to get back to CS and connect with more great people around the world.
Interests
Anything active - horseback riding, hiking, swimming, playing sports.
Anything with the arts - Painting, museums, theater. But I LOVE dancing - I am always down for any type of dance adventure :)
Anything with nature - I am often at my happiest by the beach, hiking, or just sitting in whatever patch of green I can find in the middle of a city watching life go by.
Chill time spent reading, watching TV, generally relaxing.
Got to have some balance :)
- dancing
- reading
- traveling
- equestrian
- hiking
- sports
- swimming
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Straight Man, The House of the Spirits, The Human Stain, Half of a Yellow Sun, Harry Potter
Music: Truly across the board - can get into just about everything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico when I was seven years old, with my brother behind me telling me I could do it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I make a lot of my life about creating an adventure in the everyday, and often that means creating an adventure with friends, family, strangers - and potential CS hosts :)
