Hello ! My name is Margaux, I am 26 years old and I come from a small village near to Nîmes in the south of France. I am graduate in marketing since 2018 and I'm working as marketing assistant in an import company. Traveling has become a real passion. Travel is a part of life, it teaches a lot of things about ourselves, others people, life and world.
In 2016, I took a small break during my studies. I went in Ireland for three months to do volunteering in different hostels. I met so many people, I met a lot of sheeps and I met myself ! Then I spent four months in Poland for an Erasmus exchange. Last year, I was living in Reunion Island to finish my master degree and continue to enjoy the life :) When the time to start the "adult life" was coming, the choice was not difficult for me ; I bought a one way ticket plane to Bali with my friend Lucie and now my best travelmate (on my profil pictures), and the new life begun ! We have been in Java and Bali for one month, then we traveled around Philippines during an other month. Next, we spent new year 2019 in Melbourne and we discovered the australian roads abord our loved car. Then I finished my trip alone in Beijing before to go back in France. Now, I'm living in Réunion island. The next episode ? I don't know yet and I love that !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a new way to travel. It allows to meet people of diverse walks of life and to share more than a house or a night. In my opinion, travel is not only about seeing beautiful landscapes and beautiful things, but it is especially the moments and the meeting. Moments makes the trip !

Music, Movies, and Books

I love different kinds of music. First, electronic music like Cabaret Nocture, Perel, Thylacine... I listen also Agar Agar, Ry X...

The first book I had read was "L'herbe bleue", a biography of young drug addict girl. Otherwise, I read some books of Marc Levy. Also, I loved The truth about the Harry Quebert affair of Joel Dicker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experience as a volunteer in Ireland was a great experience. I met so great people and I learn lot of things about myself. The volunteering it's a really open-mindedness. I was lonely but not alone !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can learn french language to my hosts, and also some dishes from french cuisine. And if you have something to learn me, I want to learn it ! Play guitare, eat insects, cook traditional dishes, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel experiences around a meal and a drink :) And I want to know the adventures of my hosts. Also, if my hosts want to discover me their region or special places, I will be delighted.
