ABOUT ME
set back, easy going personwho loves the outdoors, like visitors and look forward to retirement. I like gardening but am not much good at it :) but I try. I'm a quiet person; like camping, enjoy the "nature" of things;I enjoy visitors, am a good listener, and enjoy backyard campfires where family and friends can sit back and relax munching on smores!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get (Forest Gump) :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
have a couch or 2 available for couch surfers; also live in a country setting so where you "camp" out for a nite or two;

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
drove across the USA, hitting the Great Rocky Mtn range and saw a car way up top (it looked like a matchbox car) and I said "that guys nuts...I'd never go up there!" but found myself up there moments later (Snake River Canyon)!
Driving up Mt. Ashland and seeing giagantic snow banks 15-20 feet high and then looking down at Crater Lake- totally awesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach computer software classes at our local community college and am a private tutor for such classes; love learning from others; am a good listener; like to help others; don't mind sharing.
I love science but didn't realize how much until I went to graduate ...my advisor asked me why I took so many science classes...A DUAH :)
