About Me

Hello! I am 27-year-old human from the UK. I just moved to Gloucester to start a grad scheme in local government. I share a nice flat in the city with my girlfriend (and hopefully soon a dog).

For the last 2 years, I've been studying for a Masters in International Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark. For one semester I lived in Copenhagen doing an internship with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke - I organised events in their volunteer-run, non-profit bar/cafe.

I like cycling, cooking, board games, table tennis, going to the pub for a pint and a game of pool, 20th-century novels, keeping up with the news, museums and other stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would really like to go to my Masters' graduation ceremony in Aarhus to see all my friends and lecturers but I have no money for a hostel.

I like meeting new people too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year volunteering full-time in London. By day I mentored children from disadvantaged backgrounds, ran after-school clubs, and played games with them at lunch. By night I worked in a Wetherspoons pub, clearing up the vomit of drunk bankers.
It was worth it for the kids.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always open to learning from others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty good cook and I like cooking for and with people.
My BA was in Philosophy and Politics so if you're into deep chats then I'm up for that. If not then I'm equally down for a beer.
If you're ever in the Gloucester area then I can repay the favour (the Cotswolds are beautiful btw).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Russian Federation, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark, England, Northern Ireland
