About Me

Hi! My name is María Camila Salamanca.

I’m Colombian and I’ve been living in Buenos Aires since 2011. I love meeting new people and exchanging cultures — I truly believe that traveling is a breath of fresh air for life.

I enjoy exploring places without strict plans, getting a little lost, discovering unexpected corners, and letting the journey surprise me. I’m more interested in experiences, conversations, and shared moments than in checking places off a list.

I’m an interior designer and I run my own studio in Buenos Aires, a job I’m very passionate about and that keeps me connected to creativity, spaces, and the stories behind them.

As a host, I really enjoy showing the city from a more local perspective — sharing small hidden gems, everyday spots, and opening up my world so visitors can experience the city in a less touristy and more real way. I love introducing people to my favorite places and, when possible, to my friends and community.

For me, Couchsurfing is about genuine exchange: sharing a meal, a walk, a conversation, or local tips. Those small moments are what make traveling truly meaningful.

As a guest, I’m respectful, tidy, easygoing, and always happy to connect, learn, and share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a private room in my home, where I can host up to two people.

I live with my best friend and our two dogs — a poodle and a chihuahua, who are honestly the cutest 🐶
The chihuahua has a bit of a strong personality at first, but once he likes you, he’s very sweet and affectionate.

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen freely, as long as we keep things clean and tidy.
We also have an outdoor space, perfect for having breakfast outside, enjoying some sun, or just relaxing and getting some fresh air.

I live on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, about one hour from the city center by public transportation. It’s a much quieter and calmer area, ideal if you enjoy a more relaxed vibe away from the busy city.
