About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be

ABOUT ME

Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. Living in Germany since a few years (not a refugee). Before corona and russian war against my homeland i used to be a performance artist. Now i am working at a nordic culture festival, doing political activism and volunteering. In case you wanna know more, I can send you link to my website or you just talk to me ;)

My grandfather's family were exiled muslims, my parents are orthodox christians, one of my brothers is a mahayana buddhist and another one an agnostic. Even though I am not religious, apart from other things I am interested in religious and mystical thinking and how it affects people and environment.

💉Covid-status: vaccinated x2, recovered x3

Some important "not"s about me:
- I do not drink coffee or alcohol. So if you are asking me out for either of these two, it just means you haven't checked my profile 🥲
- I do not look for hookups, but friendships.
- I do not consume products of animal suffering and slaughter since 10 years (vegan)
- I am a non-binary person, but I do not mind the pronouns you use to talk about me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was raised in a family that values guests and cares for them.
Still at the high school I decided to give my room for travelers to stop by. Since 2012 I've been hosting couchsurfers, language exchange students and sometimes airbnb users. Over hundred guests from all over the world. More to come :)

At 18 I've started to travel alone and in any place I'd discover people caring for me unconditionally and sharing anything from food up to depth of the soul (I like being dramatic sometimes). Few of my guests/hosts became my closest friends, who I can hardly imagine my life without.

This being said, of course i've had and keep having different negative experiences with Couchsurfing. From psychological abuse to being violently kicked out of the host's place for not wanting to have sex with him. [ Sidenote for (mostly) women out there: please do not just write bad references to the guys who abused/humiliated you, but *report* them immediately. Even if you think he didn't harm you much, he will harm somebody else after you, if you don't give him a sign that he has to leave Couchsurfing, cuz it's based on trust].
And nevertheless, even after most of the motivated and genuine Couchsurfers left this platform, i still believe in those beautiful gemstones among people you can find here time to time. And i am still able and willing to share my time and care with those ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

being born

Teach, Learn, Share

share, learn, teach

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share my time and attention. It's easy for me to be a good listener and sincere speaker, and think together with the other, as we talk. I also love to make little but very personalized presents.
Making music together is the activity i like pretty much the most, even though i don't do it that often. Recently I started learning how to play a frame drum and would be happy to jam with you, if you are up to.
Other than that of course i can gladly cook some healthy vegan meal or join for an improvised walk or a journey, re/discovering the surrounding together.
