About Me

CURRENT MISSION - Mission courante
(English below)

De septembre 2018 à ??? : Moncton, NB, Canada

From September 2018 till ??? : Moncton, NB, Canada

Looking for funky travelers coming through Moncton :) Really into meeting out-of-towners too. Moncton can get a little too predictable at times!

À MON SUJET :
(English below)

ABOUT ME -

I'm an Acadian (native french speaker) from Moncton, (NB), Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acadians

Background in environment, climate change and sustainability, and I've recently finished an Education degree to work in or around schools.

More of alternative person, I think, but not at all exclusive to a certain scene. I crave authenticity in all forms. I'm comfortable around both weirdos and conventional folk ;-)
Live and let live is how I roll.

*** To prevent any potentially awkward scenes in my own home, I'd like to clarify that I'm a man interested in other men, aka gay guy/homosexual man. If you're not OK with that, don't host me and don't ask for a couch either :) ***

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : classical, AFX, Björk, PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, samba (Brazilian classics mostly :) ), hard jungle music, punk, instrumental, avant-garde, soundscapes (like Fennesz, Autechre, Ben Frost), minimalists , but I really like going to a cheap club and dancing on Rihanna remixes too, Hell yeah !

Films : Mostly love going to film festivals now since it's too random to drop Directors' names anymore, so let me know if you hear of anything in Japan :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my life's greater journey is to discover and relish the experience of three very distinct countries : Brazil, Japan and Iceland. I've lived in Brazil for a season, in Salvador da Bahia, and am now living in Japan, near Osaka. Iceland will no doubt come some day. Maybe this doesn't seem like an exploit to some, but the amazing part to me is that I -lived- in these places, meaning that I've found work, an apartment, friends, and learned what I could of their language. I feel incredibly lucky to be born in an era where it is possible to simply uproot myself completely and settle down anywhere around the globe for a period of time, breaking my comforts and starting anew. Being a tourist and bouncing from hostels, couches and paper maps is OK, but I prefer by-far the journey and desperation generated from an actual move to another entirely different culture and setting.

Countries I’ve Visited
