About Me

We are a French couple : Marie-Hélène and Alexandre.
We are 28 and 27 years old and we are starting a world trip, from November 2018 to December 2019.
We have planned to travel through Europe, Asia, Latin America and Southern Africa during 14 months.
We are curious about the world and the many cultures that we will discover during more than one year.

ABOUT MARIE-HELENE :
I am architect and before to start travelling, I used to work in an agency specialized in renovation programs.
I generally get along very well with people who have sense of humor.
I don't like tricky questions and staying there doing nothing.

ABOUT ALEX :
I'm a curious guy, who always want to learn new things (to do or to discuss). I love to challenge my opinions by exchanging with people who has point of views that I never thought about.
I am totally fond of music (of every kind, but only artists with talent :p) and I play a bit of guitar.
I also love to cook. Discovering culinary culture is an important thing for me when I travel.

VALUES
We have deep ecological values. That's why one of our main challenges this year is to offset our carbon footprint by planting trees during our trip. We would be SO HAPPY if you could help us with this mission, by helping us to know more about local flora or how to find a good place to accomplish this mission.
We also trust in cooperation, empathy, curiosity. Music and food cultures have this power to make these values travel :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The concept of CS is so great!!
This is the best way to meet people from different horizons.

We couldn't imagine to cross so many countries during one year without actually meeting people from the lands and cities we will visit. That's why we joined the CS community.
We would be glad to learn what our hosts' daily life looks like.
At the same time, it would be a pleasure for us to share mutual experiences or new ones!

When we will come back in France, we will re-open our doors to host other travellers ;)

Interests

Marie-Hélène :
I like visiting museums and when I have the time I love painting and drawing.
I also really enjoy skiing, pop rock music and playing the guitar.

Alex:
I am fond of music of every kind and I also love to cook (and of course to eat ;)
I love partying, dancing and chatting with people and reinvent the world :D
I also play tennis and sometimes I climb (never tried outdoor...)
