About Me

Love learning but am a bit lazy. To me visiting a new place is not about seeing the main attractions and leaving without learning a single word of the language. I love to experience new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I watched a beautiful documentary about a couple travelling around the world and they met so many people over couchsurfing in places I never thought people knew that this platform existed. This movie was very inspiring and I like to belife in "the good" in people and the existence of couchsurfing proofs that there are so many nice people around that are willing to share their life for a little while. I like this idea :) I wanted to try something new (at least for me it´s new) I want to meet new people and hear new stories I love to discover places I have never visited before

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s not something I have done it’s something that has happened to me... I was on a road trip with some friends. The plan was to drive from our home town all the way down to Athens in Greece and back. Around the middle of the trip we visited Berat in Albania, our stay in this city was amazing. When we left for the greek border maps led us onto a horrible road and we were to stubborn to turn around. But the road kept on getting worse...so bad that we ended up having a flat tire because if. We were in the middle of nowhere we had only met a few other cars. But shortly after we broke down two polish cars arrived and they tried to help us fix the tire and when it did not work they showed us the next village and helped us to tell the people there what happened. Somehow the people from the village organised a new tire and while we where waiting we cooked together and we played games with a little Albanian girl. When we left after dinner with our new tire this little girl hugged each one of us and it was great to see how we spent a whole evening together even though we did not speak the same language.
