Resumen
Sobre mí
I have been travelling South America for over 1 year now and I still get excited by the thought of discovering new places and meeting new people. In the UK I work a lot, I have 2 jobs, 1 is in a theatre and I also work for a charity. I don't mind the long hours because that they are the reason that I am able to travel to so many wonderful countries.
My other big love is animals, I love them so much!! I have been lucky enough on my travels to work with dogs in Colombia and pumas in Bolivia. Both projects have given me amazing memories and once in a lifetime experiences, I want to do at least 1 more project with animals before I fly home to the UK. When I get back I plan to turn these experiences and this passion into paid employment. This is the dream
I try to be a positive person in all situations. Travelling is such an intense experience and you do learn a lot about yourself, both good and bad. I have learnt that I am more patient than I thought I was and I am better at dealing with stressful situations , however, there is always room for improvement. I am respectful of people, different cultures and the place where I am staying whether it be in a hostal or someones house. I think this is very important. I am a very clean person....when I can be!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I have been on couchsurfing for quite a while now but I haven't taken advantage of the many things it has to offer. I love that it allows you to experience a place in a unique way, what could be better than seeing a place through the eyes of a local? Having that inside knowledge on the best places to go, staying in a neighbourhood that normally you wouldn't experience, being welcomed into somebody's home and have them share a little bit of their life with you. I am on here to make connections that I wouldn't normally make and hopefully come out if it with lifelong friends.
I am not currently in a position to host but as soon as I am my door will be open to fellow Couchsurfers.
Intereses
Since travelling and meeting new people my list of interests keeps getting longer. As I said before my main interest and passion is animals and everything animal related! Dogs in particular are a weakness of mine. I don't own one but as soon as I have a suitable place I intend to get a rescue dog. There are so many dogs in this world already that need an owner and lots of love.
I am definitely not the best cook, although I do keep trying. This does not change the fact that I love food! I like to experiment with local cuisine and I always keep an open mind when it comes to trying new food. I am vegetarian which does limit my options, although I have been cheating in South America and I have succumbed eating fish. I just can't say no to a good ceviche! I would like to learn to be better in the kitchen so I can cook for the people that have been kind enough to cook for me.
I am travelling around with a hula hoop and I try to practise every moment I get. I'm still not very good, which is kind of frustrating, but i'm having fun trying.
As much as I like having a few drinks and good conversation I absolutely love staying in with a big bowl of popcorn and good film. I have a good balance of going out and staying in.

Música, películas y libros
Music - I love going to live see a live orchestras, they give me goosebumps. I am lucky enough to work in a theatre so I get to see our local orchestra, the BSO. Ska music always makes me happy and makes me feel like dancing. I listen to many genres of music but I always welcome some musical education.
Movies- I watch so many movies it's impossible to have a favourite. I seem to like all the films that Sam Rockwell is in! I do like a good horror but always regret it when the lights go out that night.
Books - I have read a book called 'Are You Experienced' quite a few times. It's a fictional and humorous account of a boys experiences in India. It's very funny and easy to read.
Algo increíble que he hecho
It definitely has to be walking a pump through the Bolivian jungle. It was amazing, nerve wracking, magical and very surreal.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Teach - I can teach basic hula hooping, very basic!
I can attempt to teach some English if this is desired
How to make wallets out of milk cartons
Learn- I would love to be fluent in Spanish
How to make a good ceviche, or just how to cook in general!
Share - Time
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I like to share my hula hoop and the secret to keeping it up. Hopefully a coffee, beer or a glass or wine while exchanging stories and experiences. I can also share my popcorn.
