I'm Marieke, I'm 22 years old and a student social work in the lovely city of Antwerp. And just as most students, I'm on a low ass budget.

I'm a happy, open-minded, culture-loving girl. I speak Dutch and English fluently, but I also know a bit of French and a veeeery basic of Tagalog. Which is kinda strange for a half blood (I'm half Filipino fyi).

I'm almost always excited and very much fuelled by a love of new places and new limits. I love meeting new people and I'm a great believer in kindness and enthusiasm. I am also a great believer in food, wine and books.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I wish I had something new and original to say, but yes also I would like to meet new people :) Catch up with the local people! Those who can tell me something about their hometown and/or country. Even maybe learn something new here and there, because I love to learn. By spending time with people you can get to know their view on the world and that's always interesting to me. But don't obligated to spend (a lot of) time with me! I can easily manage on my own as well!

And also as a student my budget for travelling is low. I always wanted to try couchsurfing but, I never got to it but here I am! As a couchsurfing newbie, I hope to make good experiences and get to know people from all different kinds of places.
