Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Marina and I am a Spaniard currently living in The Netherlands. Since I was very young, I have firmly believed that meeting people from different cultures is one of the best ways to grow as a person, live wonderful experiences and build everlasting memories. For all this, I love traveling.
I consider myself to be a very easy-going person who enjoys the simple things in life: walking around any new place while absorbing its colors, smell and atmosphere; a relaxed conversation; a warm little coffee; going out to fall in love with the local cuisine (food tells so much about any place...!); you name it!
Regarding my hobbies, I play the violin and the ukelele, I love tennis (huge Rafa fan here), I'm always up to go for a walk or a hike and I enjoy both cooking typical Spanish food and tasting new dishes
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I believe that it is one of the best platforms to connect with locals, to get a true taste of their culture, character and hometown, while also introducing them a little bit to my own culture and have a nice, enriching experience that we can both share and from which we can grow

Music, Movies, and Books
The two music genres to which I listen the most are classical music and reggaetón. Strange fusion, I know...! But I can really listen to anything
More than a fan of movies, I am a huge series enthusiast. If I had to choose a favorite show, I'd say The Crown, but I have also watched and adored Big Little Lies, You, Grace and Frankie, Sex Education, The End of the F***ing World or The Queen's Gambit
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to choose two! First, touring Morocco with a Spanish Orchestra as a violinist (Tanger, Rabat, ElKhorbat, Merzouga and Agoudal) and playing together with local tribes surrounded by the dunes in the Sahara desert and the Atlas Mountains. One of the best experiences in my life!
Second, a six-month internship at NASA Goddard in Washington DC working on solar storms and space weather. During this time, I also took the advantage to travel as much as I could through the country whenever I had holidays. Therefore, I visited NYC, Washington DC, LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon, San Antonio, Austin, Chicago and St. Louis(:
