About Me
Hmmm, well, let's start by introducing myself; I'm Marina, I'm from Athens, the beautiful capital of Greece which I've been in love with since I stepped foot in it at the age of 7. That's probably why when I was younger I didn't feel the need to travel and see the world; I didn't feel I needed it. Obviously this has changed :). Over the last couple of years I realised that there is nothing more fulfilling than travelling to distant and unknown places and meeting people so different from you and so interested, which you would never meet in your hometown. I recently had my first trip abroad . I went to London to visit my best friend), and I was startled as how different (good different) it was than I expected it to be. Now I want to travel abroad at least one a year and start putting colorfull pins on my map :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm very new to couchsurfing. It was suggested by my best friend who has been travelling all over since she was a kid, and who said that it has become the best way to travel and explore new cultures as you never would as a mere tourist. And so I thought I'd trust her. :) I'm really looking forward to having my first couchsurfing experience ASAP! I can't wait!
Interests
I love both what I studied (hairdressing) and what I do for a living (bartending), so I guess I could also call them my hobbies. I really like walking in the city for endless hours and discovering dark and hidden places that most people don't notice. I have a dog whom I love more than anything (He's called Tzaba, which, in Greek means "for free") and I spend a lot of my spare time with him. I cycle quite a lot since it's the cheapest and healthiest way to get around, and since I don't know how to drive :P.
