About Me

** little experience on couchsurfing but lots of experience in sharing my home through home-exchange since I was born! :) **

I cannot host you but I can show you around Barcelona :)
—-

I finished my Phd and decided it was time for an adventure, so I went on a trip to Asia starting in June 2024!

I enjoy nature and sports. I have been playing Ultimate Frisbee for the last 6 years and I am always looking forward sharing this beautiful sport around the world :)

I love camping and forests, I prefer different than similar, I like to learn about animals (including dinosaurs), I always chose the hard path and I always bring with me my Mediterranean soul.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like to experience a country from the inside :)

But mostly because I feel more connected to the values that relate to exchange time than exchanging money. Since I was born my family have been doing home exchange every summer, so since I was little I had the privilege of experiencing a country from a local’s house, which meant meeting neighbors, cooking local food and, of course, learning about the importance of taking care of others’ things.

Even if I am new to this platform I am not new to this mindset and I’d love to be part of this community.

Interests

I enjoy reading (Maggie O'Farrell or John Williams, for example) and love music (pop, I am not very original sorry).

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I developed a program to prevent child sexual abuse on early ages (4-5 years old). Co-wrote two books for children about the topic & collaborated with 4 different countries to do so.

Also, I was part of the first Spanish government investigation on child sexual abuse committed by members of the church. I specialized on the cover-up of the institution. I interviewed dozens of victims.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about how experiences during childhood and affect your live even years after them! (that was my Phd topic hahaha)

I can also teach you how to cook spanish meals and recommend you fiction and non-fiction books.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- I can cook the best potatoe spanish omelette :D
- I can teach parents how to talk about sexual health with their children and prevent child sexual abuse
- I can discuss with you my Phd topic on mental health and childhood
- I can (try) to analyze your undertone and tell you which colors look better on you!
