We are two friends who met in college, planning an erasmus-adventure in Finland in 2016. We're both primary school teachers who love to travel. We are easy going and hard-working. We love to explore the world and immersing ouselves in other cultures.

Marjolein travels a lot. When she's home she works in a special needs school. During her free time she likes to be in the nature where she takes pictures. She wants to learn from other cultures and participates in these cultures as a teacher but also by other possibilities.

Laura worked as well in a special needs school. In her spare time she likes to bike and hike around.. and get lost. She's member of a youth movement and likes spending time with friends and family, but is always curious about other cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From a young age we started to discover the world. We visited countries like France and Germany but also countries like Ukraine, Iceland,Turkey and Finland. Despite of our age, we independently discovered these countries thanks to our adaptability and flexibility.

We think that adventures are the best way to learn so we will take every chance to learn.

Interests

Both of us are real outdoorsy persons and adventurers. We love to go into the nature for a walk and to relax. Finally we love children, animals, meeting new people and exploring different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Marjolein climbed in 3 months, 3 mountains in Nepal!

Together we survived some really bad weather in Albania where our tent broke down. The broken tent was Laura's fault, but our friendship survived it!
