About Me

Aloha. I am a laid back, adventurous guy with a lot of different interests - surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, skim boarding, bodysurfing, mountain biking, triathlon, skateboarding, canoeing, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, running, reading, writing, etc. I know that life is short (and getting shorter), so I try to take advantage of every day. I work hard and I play hard. But I also try to take some time to do absolutely nothing so I can recharge. :) I travel quite a bit all around the world because I like experiencing different cultures and seeing all of the beautiful places on our planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couchsurfing, but I like meeting new people and listening to their perspectives on life. I am headed out to Hawaii again in a few months and thought that maybe meeting someone on Oahu would be a good start to the trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a lot of movies stashed in my home theatre, so I like a lot of different movies, but I like Point Break, Good Will Hunting, Braveheart and a bunch of others. I read a lot and listen to a lot of different music, so my interests are eclectic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't call them amazing exactly, but I moved to Maui when I was 19 just to check it out before college. I have also run 100K race and a bunch of Ironman races.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn from others and like to listen to people talk about themselves and their experiences. I only attempt to teach others when I feel like it is a teachable moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good sense of humor and a positive attitude. I can also listen to what you have to say.
