ABOUT ME

I am happiest when I am moving, which I've done a lot of in my life. Heck, I'm even licensed to practice law in five states because of my desire to move on. As I get older, my desire to be rootless gets stronger. I just vacationed overseas for over a month (the first time I have been away that long) and traveled from Iceland to Indonesia, seeing many countries in between. It just whetted my appetite to do it some more. And I will...soon!

Love all movies, but especially film noir. There is nothing better than an old black and white film playing in the background, especially in hotels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching fireworks over Singapore from the 87th floor; Watching the clouds clear over the mountains of Bhutan; Motorbiking to the Himalayan foothills in Nepal; Being thrown in jail in Cuba; Running from a mugger on the beach in El Salvador; Swimming in Adriatic Sea on border of Montenegro and Albania; Searching to buy a cheap coat in Iceland (twice); Driving around the Faroe Islands; Getting my haircut in 20 different countries (a ritual); Hiking to high point of the Caribbean in Dominican Republic; Being unable to stand in high winds hiking in Ireland; Eating at food market in Malaysia; Touching God in Japan (I think); Managing to get pulled over by a cop driving outback of Australia; Oh wait, Am I supposed to only write down ONE amazing thing here? Sorry...
