About Me
I don't like to start a profile with rules but I realised some people don't have (a lot of) common sense and use couchsurfing for the wrong reasons.

!!!!!THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE YOU SEND A REQUEST:!!!!!
-My husband and I prefer last minute requests
-We like to hang out at least a bit with our couchsurfers - that's why we host surfers! So if you don't want to be social/are already planned out for your time here and just looking for a place to sleep, we are not the one for you.
-We generally have time in the evening. I work during the day. If you stay with us during the week you will most likely have to be out of the apartment at daytime (til approx. 15:00) since I do Homeoffice in our living-room.. (:
-!!!Don't EXPECT us to provide food for you, even though we like sometimes to share some wine or cook together!!!
-please don't damage anything! And if you do it by accident, please tell us! If you don't and we find out later be sure to get bad karma..
-sometimes we have a several couchsurfers over, so you will have to share the room.
- also we have a toddler in our couchsurfing loving family. It might be a bit noicy here from time to time and sleeping in is HIGHLY unlikely. Be aware.
-we love couchsurfing :)
___________________________________
In April 2016 I came back after an 8 months trip through Eastern Canada, Mexico and Central America. Most things turned out different than I planned them (if you can even call it "planned"). That journey was really inspiring for me, I saw and experienced a lot, met so many awesome people as well as my amazing husband who lives now with me in Hamburg, Germany (you find his profile somewhere in the personal reference page "David Greenberg") .
I have a master's degree in biology and love nature.
Personally, I would describe myself as an open-minded person, who is curious, spontaneous and sometimes a bit crazy (like most people).
What else you should know? I am a vegetarian for a long time - but I can deal very good with non-vegetarians, too (my husband isn't one and that hasn't been a problem yet).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
How can you better get in touch with each other/ other cultures than to go and visit friends that you don't know yet, right there where everyone feels the most comfortable - at home.
Interests
I'm one of the "creative" types. I love to make music, to write, to paint, to dance and of course to travel and everything which is related to that. Baking and cooking is also one of my favorite activities I do by myself or together with friends. I also like hiking and cycling and want to try out some more sports like skydiving or bungee jumping (note: recently tried it out - it's awesome!!) .
Music, Movies, and Books
I like Queen, (indie) rock and singer-songwriter in general. When you are in a good company nearly(!) every kind of music is good.
Love to read historical drama books, Harry Potter but also books with "heavier" topics like "Little Bee" or "Mornings in Jenin".
Big fan of the movie bohemian rapsody and a lot of different dramas.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring Maya ruins in the jungle, snorkeling in the Belize barrier reef, hiking several volcanos in Central America including an overnight hike and couchsurfing and hitchhiking through east Canada for more or less 2 1/2 month straight - that's pretty amazing! ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - I think my baking skills aren't that bad as well as my piano playing. Oh and of course I can teach you German!
Learn - egger to learn whatever crosses my path
I like sharing my thoughts and my experiences but also sharing funny activities with friends and occasionally a glass (or 2...) of white wine - or any other kind of alcohol that doesn't taste like garbage ;).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully a time worth talking about afterwards.
