ABOUT ME

We are curious about what everyday brings and we love making new friends. Currently we try to find new ways of discovering the world and of contributing to it.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that travel is the unique chance we have to understand a bit of the world, especially to make us aware of the impact of our western society to the environment. Getting in contact with other cultures, talking to people from different backgrounds and countries, tasting the local dishes helps us becoming more flexible, changing our point of view and hopefully becoming a bit wiser.
Travelling is learning tolerance on the way: respecting the environment, the uses and traditions of the local people we meet.
We enjoy traveling and getting in contact with different people from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We surfed quite a bit during our journey and we host now that we are back. Our wish is to meet nice people on our way through the world and to give back the beautiful hospitality we received from our hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No too much, to be honest... we have been hosted a couple of time during our trip in Australia and we met some amazing people!
When we are at our homes, we almost constantly host friends from all over the world - and couchsurfing is making "instant friends", isn't it?! ;-)

Interests

Apart from cooking (italian, indian, oriental) we do a lot of sports to get rid of all the calories by hiking, running, mountainbiking... Specially the Alps are our place for adventures, when we're at home.
We like European cinema and we like to discuss about the movies we watch.
We are interested in literature, ecology and spirituality. Once we will be back in Europe, we will start growing our own organic vegetables and herbs.

Music, Movies, and Books

We got inspired by a German Traveller/Author whose name is Andreas Altmann.
During our travel in India "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts was an amazing lecture.
Into the Wild, Motorcycle Diaries, Almodovar and Ferzan Ozpetec movies...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We had the chance to see Uluru with rain and waterfalls!
On a rainy night in the Mount Kosciusko National Park we met a wombat!

Teach, Learn, Share

Italian, French, German
Chiara is a Hatha Yoga teacher and she would be amazed to share with you this wonderful science.
Juergen likes bricolage, since he build his own roof apartment almost from scratch with few help of professionals, he is very practical and can help you out fixing stuff, from computer problems to the dropping shower. And he just got some basic knowledge about how to make the perfect italian coffee :-D
We would like to learn how to make our organic garden, run an hostel and maybe learn an instrument.
