About Me

I am travelling a lot these few months but when I am home I am happy to host you!

Note:

Due to my very sponatinous life-style short-term requests are more likely to have a positive response! Weeks in advance I never know where I will be...

CURRENT MISSION

Devote my live to conserving ecosystems and preserve ecosystem services. Live to learn for mistakes and become a better human being.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to offer a place to sleep so traveling becomes cheaper, so that even people with a small amount of money can discover and enjoy the world around the corner. Plus I love some good company and would equally like company when I am away from home!

Interests

History! I'd like lo learn as many ancient techniques as possible. At the moment especially prehistoric things.
I love dancing, but not in the modern clubs; rather folk or lindy hop. I also love folk music and I am trying to get the hang of playing accordeon and violin. One of my dreams is to travel around the world and get to know the music and dancing of different area's. For the rest I like sailing, boxing, sports in general accually..

And of course; food. I absolutely love food. One of the problems of traveling is that there is never enough time to taste everything of the area.

Right now my goal in life is to conserve ecosystems, with my current focus on ocean ecosystems. I did a master in plant science but switched recently to marine resource managment. Both farming and land ecosystems as oceanography have my interest!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working in the Archeon, a historical themepark. I have worked there with joy every single day. The people working there have an interest for nature, history and eachother like I've seen never before. Of course I've met such people, but hunderds of them together, working at one place, is amazing. An the work, was also very very nice.

I also lived in Ghana for research for seven months and discovering the culture and even becoming part of the local community is something I will never forget and has changed me for ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can learn some things about the hunters an gatherers. Like making fire, skinning and tanning animals, using the intestines to make wire, make bowls with only fire and flint. That kind of stuff.
I could talk for hours about my studies.
And, since dancing is one of my big passion I could teach many european dances, if you'd like me to ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love food and cooking and would be happy to cook and dine together.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ghana, Italy, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
