I used to Travel all over the united states several years ago, and decided I that I now wanted to explore Japan, with my friend Joe, for 3 weeks. I thought we may get hosted faster with a couchsurfing account, so here I am. We will be on Honshu from 4/2-4/21, and intend to travel to the very top, and very bottom in that time. We will spend our last week in Kyoto.

I like to draw, paint, sew, watch movies, explore, and spend time with animals. I run a non-for-profit free store and maker's space called Phoenix Web in Hunter, NY. I also love fashion and dancing, and would like to visit places where people like to dress up. Joe is 37 and he likes to ski, do metal work, cook, and travel. Joe is a chef and the restaurant owner of Brandywine Restaurant in Windham, NY. Joe eats everything, and I am a vegetarian, who is lactose intolerant, and we are both so excited to try new foods.

We plan on squatting for part of our trip, that being said we are very low maintenance guests. I am working on an art project that requires me to find rural areas that have a lot of abandoned buildings, so I would appreciate any suggestions for locations that match that description.
