About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Why not make the most of it?

ABOUT ME

Me, now: TRAVELING!
My itinerary is as follows: Iceland ( up till November 8th) - USA for two weeks, going to Washington DC, New York nov.17th-20th, Indianapolis and a couple of places in Virginia. Hit me up if you're around and want to hang out!

Nowadays I'm using my racing bike to get around in Oslo, going to concerts and cafés alone or with my friends (I really like working in cafés!), climbing, using summery dresses when it really is too cold, and wearing wool socks all the time during winter.

Love listening to music and discovering new music! I almost never go outside of my door without music in my ears. I love saving moments through taking pictures. I keep the names of places and people and things I need to remember, words I learn in different languages and everything else in a little book that I always carry with me. I live analogue stuff like that.

The past ten years I have been having this summer-music-fun-and-friends-festival on my farm during summer. It is truly an adventure, both arranging it and being a guest! I can promise you a really great time with lots of great people, fun and fantastic concerts with up and coming bands, hammocks in the trees and everything else you want from a festival.. Check out www.torpfestivalen.com!

PHILOSOPHY

Smile to the world and it will smile back at ´ya. Why not try and make the world a better place while we're here anyway?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Over the last years I've travelled by myself to London (surfed two couches, partied with couchsurfers at couchsurfer events), and I've travelled in western/northern Europe for three weeks and met, surfed and hung out with lots of couchsurfers. Picnics in Paris, eating whale meat in Iceland, bicycling in Münster, and bar hopping in Berlin is some of the things I've been lucky enough to be a part of. And I've hung out with CS'ers on the other side of the world - in Melbourne and New Zealand. :) Either way- I try to accomodate everyone who contacts me, either with a coffee-date, a sightseeing trip or in other ways. Busy days however limit me somewhat, but just pop me a PM!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I "ad hoc"-hosted a dutch guy, whom I met quite randomly at a CS party in Norway. Really good experience! I've also been stood up by a host that I haven´t heard from since, but all the other people I have met have more than balanced that bad experience by being the best hosts and guests ever...:) I've also been hosted by people in their cities, either by chance or as a planned endeavour, in Iceland, UK, Germany and other countries.

Interests

People, music, adventures, happy moments, riding my racing bike or my mountain bike, kicking the fallen leaves. Books, movies, booking bands for my festival, planning stuff, putting words in my black moleskin, looking at pictures, especially of nature and people, dreaming. Smiling :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Boondock Saints, Le Fabuleuse Destin d´Amelie Poulin, Bret Easton Ellis, Ken Follett and so much more:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first try meditating ended up stuck to my inner retina as a onderful picture that I sometimes pick up when I need to relax: Sitting cross legged, the sun baking on my arms and my face, the wind blowing gently from across the sea outside the coast of Morocco, warm and gentle. The noise from the waves hitting shore far below me, as my sense of calm became greater and greater and eventually ended up in a big smile on my face.

I'm usually not the feely kind of person, but this experience stuck with me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a tidy, easy going person, traveling light (as a challenge to myself). I always clean the sink and remove the hair out of the shower, I promise. And besides, I have short hair:-D

I would love to learn how to play the guitar! And Italian! I can teach english.. I think I am a good teacher, and I am an eager learner, thats for sure. Anyone care to swap? :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bath tub, guitar and a balcony.
