About Me
What to say? I really love travel, meeting people, tea, and writing. Erm, I'm really just a bumbling Brit who occasionally turns up in places. Currently living in America and attempting to restore a 120-year old farmhouse.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because why pay to stay in a stodgy hotel when you can meet interesting people and share an experience?

Music, Movies, and Books
The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett is always going to be one of my favourite books!
I've recently discovered a genre called Gypsy Jazz, if you've never heard of it, can't recommend it enough.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Myself and a friend made the phenomenally stupid decision to camp in Shenandoah National Park just after snow and an ice storm. Everything, the road and the trees, was covered in a half-inch layer of ice. We expected it to be roughly 25 degrees... it dropped to somewhere around 10 and we weren't remotely equipped.
But we survived!
Anyway, the real amazing part to this is we got to walk through Shenandoah, with the trees slowly thawing as the sun rose. Hiking through a forest of crackling glass and the sound it made is something I'll never forget.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Casual conversation, tremendous tales, wine and beer [if requested in advance], wonderful wit, and general amusement.
