About Me
Hey there!
My name is Martina. I was born and raised in Italy, but I'm still searching for a place to truly call home. At 19, I moved to Milan to pursue a degree in Mathematical Engineering. During my studies, I lived in Lisbon for a year as part of the Erasmus program, where I fell in love with the country and its vibrant culture. Later, I completed a three-month internship near Zurich, which gave me valuable work experience and allowed me to save some money. These three cities have each influenced me and helped shape my personality.
After dedicating the past three years to my academic career, I decided to take some time from February to June of this year to travel and seek personal growth through new experiences abroad. Solo travel immersed me in different cultures and introduced me to people from all walks of life, providing numerous life lessons and deep insights into myself.
Now, I'm about to embark on a new adventure in the Netherlands, where I’ll be pursuing a master's program in AI.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love having new experiences in life and I love staying with locals when I travel. I know that each country is unique for their cultures, languages and cuisines, so I am pretty curious to see these aspects directly in locals' houses.
