I'm Martin, 22, from Germany. Currently I‘m traveling with my girlfriend Eileen around Europe. We are traveling with our VW T5 and want to be in Greece in winter.

I would describe myself as a quite sensitive person, which makes me quite empathic, I guess. My girlfriend says that I’m like a chameleon, which means that I’m getting along with many different kinds of people. I actually enjoy being around people a lot, but I also need time for myself every now and then, otherwise it can get exhausting to me.

The thing I Iike the most while traveling is having a lot of time and that you never know what will happen.

However, if you want to know something before we meet, feel free to ask anything.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I definitely don't think, that sightseeing and visiting places is the best part about traveling. I actually have never had a bucket list and don't believe, that seeing a temple, taj mahal, etc. is important.
The thing that changed me the most in my travels are the people I met and the friendships I made. Furthermore I believe that the people of a country make the culture, so for me couchsurfing is the best way to see a new country.
Besides that I love, that you never know what will happen, if you couchsurf.

I also would like to host people, but unfortunately nobody* is visiting my hometown in Germany. I'm not living in a big city.

*(Note: After 4 years after I´ve registered in the couchsurfing community, I finally got my first request from a surfer!!! Amotz stayed with me and it was very memorable. I still think that "nobody" is the right word to use to discribe my situation as a host.)
