Bored. Semi-retired. I love my small business but feel tied down. I hope to travel more but happy to host if the situation is right. Week-ends are available only at this point but I would love to show people around DC and have a girl friend that lives near DuPont Circle in DC that is a big planner and can find very cool stuff to do with people that would like to experience new things. Today we got tickets for a dinner and tour to celebrate Nikola Tesla with free rides in a Tesla Model S Car at the Croatian Embassy. Life is short. Friends are all over the place. Wish they were staying at my house but new friends could even be better. I have an extra bedroom but share my house during the week. Do you believe life always gets better? I think that is a beautiful thing. Manifest destiny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Been there. Done that. For me it is all about the people you meet along the way. Destinations disguise a journey as a place in a dream. A destination could be a journey or a journey could be a destination. For me it's all about the people along the way that determine the spirit of the event. The event is life and all the rest is scenery.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode across country on a motorcycle when I was 22. When I hit the Rockies in July and there was a foot of snow on the ground I turned north for Wyoming, Montana and Yellow Stone. I never made it to Washington State and ended up in Louisiana deep in the swamps building off shore boats, oil rigs & barges. After the oil field crash I went back to school and completed a B.S. degree at U.N.O.

I can install carpet and have had a floor covering business for almost 30 years. I hate carpet. Only kidding but love hard wood floors and not kidding about that.
