About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to talk to as many strangers as possible
ABOUT ME
I'm creative, artistic, and I love talking to people I don't know. (Unless I'm really, REALLY crabby) I'm a mom with kids. I live at a Summer Camp in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, where my husband is employed. I work at Skytop Lodge, a historical hotel 2 mountains over from where we live. You meet some wonderful people living at Camp and get a lot of free shampoo that people leave behind.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a Christian. I try to follow God.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a wonderful stay with Ellie and Gabrielle in Aberdeen in Scotland, and a great time staying at Claire's house in Milwaukee. Emma and Kyle in St. Louis opened their home to my daughter and I on our way down to Texas, and I stayed with Janet and Rick in Springfield, IL on the way back! Bradley and Franchesa stayed at our house when they were in the area. Lately, I've been able to stay with my daughter at Rick and Janet's in Springfield, as well as Emma in St. Louis

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to re-read books, over and over. It's my comfort mechanism. Beats eating. I'm especially fond of young adult literature, usually historical fiction. I don't read thick books because nobody leaves me alone long enough to finish them and it's too frustrating to keep putting them down.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking to work underneath a roaring roller coaster (I used to work at Six Flags). Two whooping cranes that stalk around our yard.
Teach, Learn, Share
Some quotes I like:
"You can learn a lot about somebody by watching how they treat people whom they percieve to be less powerful than themselves"
What I Can Share with Hosts
some extra beds, some good food, and some interesting conversation
