Overview
About Me
I was born in Mexico City but moved to the Peninsula 3 years ago and loving it. I do environmental consultancy for national and international NGOs and governments, but what I really love is getting my hands dirty: I am passionate about working the land and growing my own veggies. Also, I love working with indigenous communities and learning traditional knowledge such as the use of medicinal plants.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couchsourfing 'cause I like meeting new people. Valladolid is beautiful but small and sometimes it is nice to see new faces and show people around the beauties of this part of the world.
Interests
I LOVE nature. I am very much into permaculture, organic agriculture, work with rural communities, sustainability issues, saving and keeping traditional knowledge and practices. I also started practicing yoga and it has been absolutely fantastic.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE music. I just couldn't live without music. I am not that into films but definitely books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After being a "big city girl" for 33 years, I decided to leave everything behind and to live in the jungle and become self sustainable. It has been the most enriching and deep experience of my life. I learnt a lot but the most important thing I learnt is that happiness is a choice, that all those things that we think we need to be happy, in reality we don't. In fact, things and possessions make you a slave.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to share my house, my food, my personal space, time and ideas on what you can do around the Peninsula and Mexico in general.
