My name is Maryanna Nínive Nóbrega, but you can call me Mary. I am Brazilian and I'm currently doing an exchange in Portugal. My first big trip was after I finish high school and since that I dream about knowing all the places that I just have seen on the Internet (Google Earth, I love you!).
I am very opened about knowing knew cultures and having experiences that changes my perception of life. I believe that everybody who passes through your life has an important role in your path that makes a difference on who you are.
I'm a professional photographer and designer, I love to take pictures of people and places that I've been to.

I believe that Couchsurfing it's a platform that allow us to know people and their culture in a safe environment, connecting the world and making possible experiences that for most people would been impossible. We learn how to get out of our comfort zone and understand the mindset of other people in society.

I like all types of music and really love to dance, all my friends says that I'm a great dancer! I know a lot of brazilian singers and I can show a lot of what I use to listen, I'm also learning how to play pandeiro and I'm sure I could just teach a few things!
The movies that I like the most are local independents films from where I was born in Brazil (northeast). The movie scene there it's growing fast and rich, that's something I'm really proud about!
It's hard to talk about my favorite books, cause since I've learned how to read I've had read so many... But the books that made the most difference in my life was the Harry Potter serie, cause I feel like I've grew up along with the characters. Seems naive, but it is what its is!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've hosted foreign exchange students in Brazil and I assisted their experience while they worked in NGOs for AIESEC. It was a really life changing experience cause I made some really good friends all over the world and in the NGOs as well. But the nicest thing about those experiences were just seeing how people can change while they are trying to make a difference other lives.
