After a few years of being both a guest and a host, I realize that CS (and being hospitable in general) is about willingness and ability to give. It is not easy and obvious to everyone, especially if you take someone else's help for granted. I believe I have learned a lot and with every experience I am getting a better CS community member. So far I have hosted seven surfers from China, Russia, Portugal, Australia, Japan and Ukraine. I have also hosted six cyclists from Switzerland, Canada, France and Iran through a Warmshowers website. While travelling, I was hosted in Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia. I have met so many wonderful people thanks to CS and WS and I can't count how many times I was spontaneously offered help by people I just met on my way!

I cycled from Turkey through Asia to Australia.
