About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I aim to raise my beautiful family of two children with my partner so that they are safe, intelligent, secure and wordly while looking after others and helping out those that are less fortunate than themselves.
ABOUT ME
Finally gave up smoking cigarettes. Just turned 40 and feeling it. Have two beautiful and healthy children that I love and adore. Have a wonderful partner of nearly 10 years from holland who I need to marry soon before I get a clip around my ears from her whanau and mine. Love the sea, bush, food, eclectic music, fishing, spearfishing, woodfired ovens and pizza, spearfishing, taking great photos of things, gardening, organics and permaculture, heritage and new funky kinds of tomatoes, herbs and vegetables, love to spin vinyl when I can, need to buy a sea kayak and then a boat. Love preserving food from seasonal neighbourhood back and front yards, love selling my food and gardening efforts at markets or from home. Love living with nature not against it. Love meeting others from different countries, love travelling, love good wine and beer and ethnic foods. Love to learn and experience new things. Love to talk about politics, life the universe and everything. Must stop talking now as probably boring you all to death now.
PHILOSOPHY
To learn as much as you can about yourself and others before your time is up. Share what you can with others, while enjoying what little time there is on this big blue and green spinning orb. Leave as much of the earth untouched and healthy so that my childern and their children get to enjoy and treasure what we leave them. Dont take others for granted and to help those who are less fortunate than yourself or who cant help themselves. Live life like there is no tommorrow but balance it so you dont look or act like a giant prat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Outgoing, friendly, lateral thinking, tall (188 cms, 6 foot 3) shaved head as my hair has started abanoning me and it is too hot to cook or garden with lots of hair anyway I have learned. Stubborn and moody sometimes with a hint of frustration at slow or stupid people. Definitely believe in the darwin theory where only the clued up and quick survive. Love to learn new ways of looking at things while learning new things about my self and how to react and act around others. I love to share what I have from life experiences and near death experiences and from others lifelong journeys. You are never too old or young too learn new and wonderful things about life I always find.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have met the nicest people while travelling and staying with others. I have found that you can never tell a book by its cover but it is usually the people that have the least amount of wealth or possesions that seem to have the biggest hearts or are willing to go the extra mile while expecting nothing but a smile and a wave in return. There is good in everyone and it doesnt take much to find out how to share that goodness and to pass it on to someone else. I have appreciated all of the lifts I have received as a hitch hiker and my partner too and so we are always open to help others out that love to travel, hitch, venture, explore etc...
Interests
Human nature, nature by design, philisophy without all the pretensious claptrap, sharing ideas and values. Raising healthy and happy children (not an easy feat as we with children can all attest to) while letting them safely explore our world around them. Learning to love myself before I can love others so to fully understand the term itself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Horror and Sci Fi classics when it comes to movies, action and horror when it comes to books. House, techno, classical, reggae, alternative, some pop, hip hop, o.g rap, rythm and blues, r and b, soul, disco, hard rock and anything else that grabs me music wise. Love gardening and cooking books along with anything to do with fishing and spearfishing and bow hunting. Organics, permaculture, sustainable living, solar, hydro, heirloom seed sharing or gathering, environmental issues, newspapers, time magazine, new scientist, and anything to do with the world around us.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Have seen a double rainbow, a huge amount of insects, birds, animals, fish, places. Have seen eclipes, mountains, caves, rivers, cities, neigbourhoods, churches, graveyards, valleys, canyons, underwater grottos, the great barrier reef, islands etc...The most amazing thing would be the birth of my two children as that is the beginning of life and also myself while I grow from what they are now to where I am now and where I will be going towards the endgame for myself which is a marvel unto itself I feel.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ways to cook, how to grow food, how to fish and hunt, insights into raising children, learning ways of building eco friendly strucures (basics) and bits and bobs about painting, drawing, photography. Recycling, cost saving, cheap travelling tips, areas of interest when travelling certain places. Weather tips, random info on outdoors or exploring, diving, spearfishing, hunting. Money saving on electricity, food, bills, saving. How to save money when shopping, bargain hunting, building or renovating while on the sniff of an oily rag.
