CURRENT MISSION

We are embarking on a three month road trip from March to June 2020 that will take us from our current home in Boise, ID to our new home in Ligonier, PA. Tyler will be going to graduate school to become a CRNA in Pennsylvania, so we are packing up our family of seven and hitting the road with our camper in tow. We have 5 kids aged 8, 6, 4, and two year old twins. Since we had our second child in 2013 we have not been able to travel like we had before, but now we are headed out on the trip of a lifetime. We love the community that couch surfing provides in foreign places and hope to meet some amazing people along our trip this time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While in Spain we hosted people from every corner of the world. We hosted in our current home of Boise until our house became too overrun with kids, but look forward to hosting in our much larger home in PA.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed and hosted many times. Since we will be traveling with our travel trailer on this next adventure we do not need a house to sleep in, but we would love to find places to park our camper for a night or two and meet people from wherever we are at.

Interests

Tyler is an Registered Nurse and Denise is a stay-at-home mom who teaches cycling classes at the local YMCA. Before our twins were born in 2017, Denise was the assistant basketball coach at a local college. Together, we are passing down our love of all things outdoors to our 5 kids. We have been passionate travelers from the beginning and although the kids have changed the ways we travel, we still get out and explore often.

We've watched Frozen more than 500 times, The Greatest Showman at least 300 times and generally love anything Disney.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tyler and Hadley took a 2 week trip to Thailand and Singapore in November 2019. It was amazing for Tyler to share his love of traveling with our oldest daughter and she was able to learn so much about foreign cultures and the many fascinating ways people live around the globe.

Teach, Learn, Share

Between the two of us we have so many experiences to share from travel around the world. We are happy to share strategies for travel with kids, have a solid knowledge of the medical field, have dabbled in real estate and rental properties . Overall we are pretty well rounded and love meeting people from all backgrounds and all walks of life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our love of the outdoors, our parenting experiences and fill any house full of kids. We often participate in community potlucks in our hometown and would love to do the same while on the road.
