My name is Tom and I am from Germany. I love travelling since I went abroad for a year in highschool when I was 15. Soon my own trips to Italy and Croatia followed and after I finish my voluntary ecological year I am planning to backpack somewhere a little further away. I love nature and animals of all kind and my biggest passions beside travel are photography,running (Did my first marathon with 18) and playing guitar.

I listen to Rock music aswell as independent music. The band that influenced me the most is definitely Rise Against,especially their old albums. I also admire Pink Floyd's masterpieces and Roger Waters "US AND THEM" tour was the most impressive concert of my life. In terms of books I like Stephen King,my favorite of his books being "Pet Sementery". The most recent book I read was "A walk in the woods" from Bill Bryson and it was really great.
My favourite movie is still "Brother Bear" because of Phil Colin's awesome music and the fact that it really brings back memories from childhood.

In Nova Scotia,at the end of my exchange year, my sister and I drove from Halifax to Niagra Falls in 3 weeks with only a tent and a car,it was a great experience!
