About Me

Enjoy life with my wife and two daughters

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a member of Hospitality Club "matiasgigaglia" for more then 4 years, hosting and being hosted. I just find it fantastic. We are all in a way ambassadors of this proyect (CS and HC), trying to expand the word anywhere we go and most people's first reaction is: how can you host a stranger in your house? Well, we have to admit most people in this world are honest therefore the chances of finding a dishonest person on this site is very hard. I first trust until the opposite is shown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Actually I have much more experiences in Hospitality Club. People could check on HC "matiasgigaglia". However I have started to get more and more active in couchsurfing with so far great experiences as usual!!! Every trip is a completely different story with and without CS!

Interests

WINE, TRAVELLING, LANGUAGES, SPORTS (football, kitesurfing, skiing, ciclying, jogging) However as years pass by intensity on sports go down!!

  • wine
  • clubbing
  • traveling
  • backpacking

Music, Movies, and Books

Latin Music from what we call in Spanish "cantautores" Those poets who write their poems, lyrics and then put music to it. Joaquin Sabina (although he got very commercial recently), Eduardo Aute, Silvio Rodriguez, Serrat, Carlos Vives (not exactly a poet). Movies, no one in particular but I loved Chocolate with Binoche y Deep, the reason because you can see two souls who wander around the world trying to find their place and a not well know American film from the John Kakauer book based on a true story "Into Wilderness" Same book. Another book worth reading "Kite Runner", "Into thin Air". I love books telling real stories. Dont like fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving from Buenos Aires to Poland with just my backpack and an idea of selling Argentine wines in this part of world. And I am still here with much more than a backpack specially a wife and two beautiful daughters!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, New Zealand, Peru, Russian Federation, Serbia, South Africa, Turkey, United States, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
