Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Rock/Indie/alt
Right now I'm big into bands like Parquet Courts, War on Drugs, The National, FIDLAR, Father John Misty. My all time favourites in this category would be RHCP, The Beatles, Guns n' Roses.
Hip-hop
My (general) rule of thumb is I'm a huge fan of any kind rapper that uses their real name, like Kendrick, J. Cole, Vincent Staples, Tyler, The Creator. There are some like Wu-Tang that go against the rule but it's a funny general stance to take that if it's a Firstname-lastname rapper, I'm probably a fan.
I also like certain types EDM, I think the good stuff in this genre is outstanding.
Books
- 1984
- Slaughter House Five
- The Unbearable Lightness of Being
I read a lot but my standards of 'favourite books' is pretty high.
