About Me
Hi !
I'm Matteo a 21 year-old traveller from Leipzig (Germany). I'm a social guy, I love discovering different cultures , especially food (I love cooking and eating as well). In a few days (August 14th 2018) I'm moving to Ottawa as an exchange student. My field of studies is psych (I always wanted to find out why people act the way they do), I'm still in my bachelors degree, but eager to learn more! I love having long conversations with people about everything and nothing. I'm kind of into political conversations about different topics, especially feminism.
I've been travelling around southeast asia a lot in 2016 (thailand, laos, cambodia, vietnam and myanmar). In 2017 I've been to Indonesia with my girlfriend Sarah. My time travelling there is always worth a chat. And by the way, I really love cooking vegetarian curries.
Soon I'm moving to Ottawa, Canada and am still looking for a room there. I'm planning to travel there for a few weeks with Sarah and therefore I'm looking for hosts who can offer us a place to sleep (a small space on your floor is sufficient) and maybe some recommendations where to go to (national parks, cheap ways to travel around Canada...) I'm really looking forward to meeting amazing people in Canada!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Not only because travelling in Canada is way more expensive than in other countries, but also because I feel like meeting locals, sharing opinions, thoughts, travel destinations, food ... and soon my own couch in Ottawa.
Interests
Sports (mountainbiking, hiking, rowing, swimming and open for everything new !)
I love nature but I'm also really into city life, cultural divers places, subcultures etc. I'm a social person I'm really looking forward to getting to know new people! For a few years I've been singing in different choirs.
