I’ve just created this profile and so I’ll need to update it a bit more however in the meantime a bit of information about me. I was born in South Africa but more than half of it has been spent living in the United Kingdom. I’ve also lived briefly in Spain and since 2020 I have been living in the department of Corrèze in south west France. I live in a small village called Treignac which is very much rural France but I do love it. It’s very peaceful and safe and there is quite a community of different nationalities you’d be surprised !
I’ve been very fortunate to have travelled to many cities across the world because of my job but to be honest it’s always been with comfort staying in good hotels but it’s not really the ideal way to experience local culture hence the reason why I have decided to join couch surfing.
After seeing the BBC documentary called race across the world I feel really inspired to do something different and to travel overland from London to Singapore. I’d like to start off by exploring Central Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’d like to meet different people and cultures and I love learning new languages or having a chance to practice the ones I have learnt. As a gay solo traveller it’s a little nerve wracking travel solo so ideally I’d like to meet open minded people at the same time return the favour to those in a similar situation to me. I live alone and can accommodate just one person but I’d be happy to show you around where I live and also explore new places as there is a lot to see where live and I haven’t so much of what there is to see. When I am home I have a lot of free time so we could venture out but as long as we can share the expense as I only work part time.
I live with my two dogs who are really friendly so if you feel uncomfortable with pets I’m probably the wrong person. I also don’t eat meat or fish but it’s not a problem if you want to prepare something for yourself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my younger years I was quite into running and have run in few ultra marathons including the famous Comrades Marathon in South Africa it’s a gruelling 89km!
