Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am interested in making connections all over the world. I want to enhance my language skills and build a worldwide network.
ABOUT ME
Stay calm, but stay productive. I don't understand how people can live life running from one thing to the next, always at top speed. I like to take things in stride and try to give everything the time and consideration it deserves.
PHILOSOPHY
I love traveling the world, meeting new people, and experiencing their cultures, but I do believe that "movement is only as good as the sense of stillness you can bring to it"(Pico Iyer). For this reason, I do appreciate my alone time and my quiet time. I do my best to stay balanced in many parts of life such as: speaking vs. listening, reading vs. writing, socialising vs. solitude (this list could go on forever). Everything, and it's opposite, has a place and a purpose, but they are both best seen from the middle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am just beginning to get more involved with couchsurfing. I am starting to attend the public events(although, right now, my location is not ideal), and trying to make more connections worldwide. I am able to host surfers right now and would love to participate in some exploration on the weekends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love James Baldwin (If Beale Street Could Talk, Another Country, Giovanni's Room, Going to Meet the Man). I also enjoy Hemingway(my favourite book of his being Men Without Women), Vonnegut(Sirens of Titan is amazing), and Oscar Wilde(I've only read The Picture of Dorian Gray, but it blew me away), to name a few. I am always interested in hearing suggestions of what to read.
I listen to a lot of different music. Recently, I've mostly been listening to The Drums, Beirut, Andrew Bird, The Album Leaf, Raphael Saadiq, and The Basics. Also, always interested in hearing about music suggestions.
I'm not much of a movie person, but I do appreciate a film that makes me think. My Dinner with Andre is probably my favorite. I am also, open to suggestions here… It just might take me longer to get to them
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent an amazing 18 months living in Taiwan. It's an wonderful country with many things to see. Taipei, Kaoshiung, Kenting, Alishan, Jioufen, Hualien, Taroko Gorge, Green Island, Penghu. It was all great and there's so much more.
