About Me
New to Couchsurfing!
I’m a RN from California currently working as a travel nurse. I split my time between the Midwest and California. I spend my days off camping with housemates, surfing, baking sourdough bread and learning how to improve each loaf, working in the garden or on my compost, and reading. I love learning, meeting new people with similar interests, hearing their stories and gleaning their wisdom. I’m the youngest of 4 kids so I’ve learned to appreciate the experience of those who have gone before and consider myself and eternal student.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I strongly believe that life is richer, more meaningful and longer when it’s shared. I read a book last year on the Japanese concept of Ikigai and was fascinated to see how the areas in Japan where community is the strongest, people live the longest and most fulfilling lives. So I guess you could say why I’m on Couchsurfing is for longevity :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to host a art gallery for a night with a group of four friends. It was centered around encouraging people to find space for creativity in their lives.
Teach, Learn, Share
I picked up film photography last year and own a Canon AE-1. I have a few rolls of Potra 400 film stock with me wherever I go. I love the consideration and thought film demands because each frame costs.
I hosted a documentary on going without a phone or a computer for an entire month this last summer. One of the most life altering things I’ve done recently.
I completed a 40 mile day hike in Joshua tree about two months ago. The blisters took a while to heal.
I hosted a television series on lifestyle medicine while in college and interviewed 7 different medical doctors on an aspect of lifestyle and how it can be optimized for heal and healing.
I apprenticed for 6 months on an organic farm in Northern California growing 7000lbs of squash and a few hundred pounds of beets.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’ll help you start your leaven and bake you a loaf or several if I’m around long enough. I’d love to shoot photos with you or photos of you but they’ll take some time to develop if they’re film. I could take you surfing, or help you start your compost and home garden!
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, England, Germany, Mexico, Philippines
