Hello, I am a student athlete at Arizona State University.
I am studying Nursing and Intergrative health as a double major that I will finish in Fall of 2019. I compete as a polevaulter on the Arizona State track and field team. I love meeting new people and developing new perspectives. I am incredible busy during the school year but my summer is relatively open. As an Arizona native I love showing off the beauty of my state to others and love company over a meal or drink.

I have come to Couch Surfing because so many friends have suggested it to me and I plan to do a cross country road trip summer 2018. (The road trip went incredible well and now I am hungry for even more travel) Following that I am excited to host others and pursue more adventures with the aid of Couch Surfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To take my first steps into the traveling community, I am nearing a transition in my life where I will be able to start exploring the country more and potentially the world.

I have had my first few experiences with couch surfing now ( 7/16/2018) and I have found that I fallen quick and hard for travel but even more for the human connection that I have found with my host and guest in the past few months of being involved on this site. The compassion, Social brilliance and joy that comes from sharing your home and city with different individuals resonates at the core of being apart of the human race.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all forms of music, shuffle play on my Spotify account is like a cultural roller coast I find my self going from Pop Country to 80s rap and RnB. I love live music as well if im going to a concert its most likely alternative rock or country, I enjoy music with distinctive lyrics. My most incredible musical experience was watching Roger Waters preform The Wall by Pink Floyd in the the US Airways center in PHX.

I am a massive movie buff, I was raised in a home with four 8' tall bookcases filled with movies in alphabetical order. I have an appreciation for old classics such as John Wayne movies and the entirety of the 007 series. Although I have a profound love for the series that define pop culture such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Indian Jones. My love for movies lends to my current media set up, I have a 120" screen projector in my living room that makes for great movie nights in my town home.

I regretfully don't read all to much although when I get the inclination to read I enjoy non-fiction books that are informative or interesting. My favorite author is Malcolm Gladwell with books such as Outliers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am the 2017 PAC12 champion in the polevault.
I have also SCUBA dove more than 100ft deep in the ocean and with sharks on other occasions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a vast knowledge of some very specific sports and subjects of academia. I can teach alot about SCUBA diving and Pole-vaulting, I have been diving for 7 years and I am certified as a Master SCUBA diver and I have been pole vaulting for 8 years now 4 of which as a D1 athlete in the NCAA. Additionally I am a nurse student with a deep love for anatomy and biological sciences.

I want to learn new ways of life and happiness from those around me, everyone and every place provides new perspectives some unknown to my imagination. I am very close to graduating college and retiring from the polevault, these are 2 things that have dominated my life for a long time. I am about to experience alot of change and begin my adult/professional life. The knowledge I can gain from traveling and meeting new people will help my form into the most enlightened and happy adult I can be.

I want to share love, life and knowledge, just as every person and place offers a different perspective I have my own philosophies and talents to share. There are few things I enjoy more than having fun and helping others around me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

ENERGY! I am young and hungry for life. I want to have a good time, I am charismatic, confident and occasionally annoying. I will go out all night and day to take in a new location or I will stay in and talk over good food and comforting drinks. Both are equally enticing to me, lastly I will share gratitude I will never loss sight of the fact that others are kind enough to open their doors to a stranger and call them friend.

For the trips I take this summer of 2018 I will be traveling from VT to AZ and I plan to bring some delicious VT maple syrup to all of my host.
