ABOUT ME

I am traveled much of the world and now live in Mexico on the island of Cozumel, Yucan.
Educated mostly in the USA but also in London and in Switzerland. I thought every one needed to go to Europe every year and also see the ocean every 6 months.
I also have bought a house with a friend in a small village of Dobrinovo, Bulgaria.... It is about 45 minute drive from the Black Sea. . I restored our village house and now offer it to travelers as a B&B and places to hold workshops for music and other arts. It will be a place to live that is peaceful too. If any one wants to be a care taker for very little rent let me know as I would love to offer it to the right couple or individual.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will travel and hope to host folks at my home in Athens, Ga. when in this area, and one day will offer the Bulgarian house for guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first time with CS was a disaster but it just goes to show you to get back on the horse. Loved the 2nd and 3 rd stay with CS. It is wonderful to have a friend every where!
I just joined however I have been a member of Servas for 17 years ( check out www.usservas.org) as it is much like CS. I have had many many visits to many host and I have hosted many people over the years.
It is another really great organization.

Interests

Music..I LOVE to play the mandolin with friends so I bring my instrument. I also enjoy singing and the piano.
I would love to find a person that would like to paint.
I am writing now...a short or rather long short story. Love T. Capote!

The Sound of Music is my favorite movie. I love all sorts of movies .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a house in Bulgaria, rode an elephant in Thailand,
travel down the coast of Thailand to remote islands,
Imported many containers of goods from JAVA and Thailand and traveled the US selling those items.
Learned to play mandolin....play the piano and love to try to paint and write fiction.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music, ( I play piano, mandolin, and have played clarinet, cello and sing) Cooking ( taught Italian cooking in Italy and Spain.) Travel stories. I have traveled most of the world in great depth. I have lived in German, the island of Bali, and Bulgaria. Have seen every country of Europe, every state of the USA. Mexico many trips etc etc. had an island house in Bali, Indonesia, Lived in the French alps near Mt. Blanc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travels and how to do it...cooking, music. I am grounded and a happy person to be alive.
I can share my 95 year old mother who is a real inspiration!
I travel with her blow up bed that she loves and all the linens that are needed. We are only restricted by a full flight of stairs.
