I was born in Boston, but I've lived in a few different places throughout my life, including New York, Rio de Janeiro, and Connecticut. Now I'm living in Iwamizawa, Japan working as an English teacher!

I've traveled quite a bit throughout my life, but I'm always seeking out more opportunities to get up and go somewhere new. The wanderlust is real, people. I love learning new languages, meeting people from around the world, and (arguably the most important of all) indulging in new and foreign meals.

I have a B.S. in Environmental Science and Wildlife Studies. I have a deeply rooted fascination and passion for nature and animals and hope to pursue a career as a conservation biologist. Talk birdy to me (I'm also a HUGE fan of puns).

In 2014, I lived in and worked on a research project in a small community in Madagascar. Living in an environment so different from my own was a truly incredible experience. I met some great people there who would become close friends, and I had the pleasure to research lemurs and work in the enchanting rain forests for which Madagascar is so famous.
