About Me
Hello! I'm a college student from the United States studying neuroscience and molecular genetics. I'm coming to Switzerland this summer for a research internship, and I'm planning to do some traveling to other countries while I'm abroad. I'm a very laid-back and low-maintenance person. During the school year I spend most of my time studying and working, but during the summer I like to loosen up and try new things. I'm not into crazy parties or drugs, but I enjoy an evening out with friends or a fascinating conversation over a glass of wine. I'll talk with you about anything and everything!
Please note that I am NOT looking for a hookup, so do not contact me with flirtation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I know a lot about science, but I feel like I'm really clueless about the world and other cultures. That's why I'm taking this summer as my opportunity to travel around Europe and meet as many interesting people as I can. As a student on a shoestring budget, I think Couchsurfing could be a great way to help me stretch my finances and allow me to extend my trip as long as possible. At the same time I'm really looking forward to practicing my language skills in Spanish (proficient) and French (basic) by having conversations with my hosts. Most importantly, I want to meet and interact with people from lots of different cultures. Before this trip I've never been outside of my own country, so I'm passionate about learning about this huge world we live in and all of its fascinating inhabitants.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not sure if this qualities as "amazing" but I work in a neurogenetics lab, which I think is pretty cool! My lab in the US studies how the nervous system develops in the womb, while my lab in Switzerland studies whether sleep deprivation could be linked to Alzheimer's disease.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy cooking and would love to make some meals for you! We can enjoy some home-cooked food while engaging in conversation. I'd love to swap stories about our travels and home countries. I'll also be very respectful of you and your home! I will leave my living space cleaner than I found it and follow all of your house rules to make sure I am a good guest in your home.
