ABOUT ME

I am all about seeing the world and meeting new people and trying to suck as much out of life as I can. I am a hard working artist trying to make my mark. I am running a small Letterpress print shop in Central Minnesota and trying to learn all I can from other artists and people in general. I am very active outdoors and and dig on live music and good booze.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't wanna get all soap-boxy and stuff, but I think the karma thing is where its at, and being a good straight up person should count for something. I like bartering things I make for cool things other people make. I don't have a lot of regrets and I wanna die with most everything checked off my list.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I studied abroad in college and really got used to going the opposite direction of the crowd in order to find the hidden treasures like local "real" people and off the wall bars. I am totally into diving right into the heart of a city to get the whole experience instead of hiding out in a hotel outside of town. WHen I lived in Madison, WI and Minneapolis, MN I would always jump on the opportunity to put up travelers and show them the best places to be in the city.

Interests

Printmaking of any kind, art in general is pretty rad. Biking, blading, running, climbing, dog-walkin, cooking, eating good food, drinking dry wine, cheap beer, funny people rock my world, I like riding my beat up motorcycle for hours and shoppin for shoes. Tootsie Rolls are the best candy ever invented and grape Bubblicious rules.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is starting to get long and I am losing my focus. I like old school music and I have cool friends that turn me onto new music all the time. Just got into !!! and LCD Soundsystem. Very sweet. I can get swept away by Jonny Cash and Jeff Buckley and I sing a FAN-EFFIN-TASTIC version of Sara Smile by Hall and Oats. I can find something I like in most all areas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My travels in England and Amsterdam were awesome. My road trips out east have always been hilarious and full of adventure. I have competed in 2 Duathlons and that pushed me pretty hard. I can't nail any one thing as the most amazing...I have been pretty lucky in my lifetime and I hope to continue my pursuit of the things that are of an amazing nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do know letterpress printing. I am not saying I don't have a ton to learn but I do know my way around a few presses and I can make some beautiful stuff. I am a good teacher on it too.
